Treadmill Tip if you are losing motivation

Tuesday- 4 miles on treadmill(easy pace) + arm definer NTC(Nike Training Club) workout

After having 2 days of rest, yesterday felt so awesome running and lifting weights again. Sometimes after I’ve had a few rest days getting back on the treadmill can be hard. Something I always like to do is break up my workout. Yesterday, I ran 1.5 miles then did 2 rounds of the NTC workout. Then I ran 2.5 more miles then did 1 more set of the NTC arm workout. By the end my arms were shaking so bad! You know it was a good workout when you’re trying to blow dry your hair and your arms and already so sore.

You like my nice farmers tan going on? I think I need to start wearing tank tops on my runs outside. . .

One of my favorite breakfast cereals is making a comeback. I love Oatmeal Squares with cut up banana. It’s the one cereal that leaves me feeling full and has quite a bit of fiber.

I headed up to my sister Leah’s house to see how my sister Bree was holding up. She’s watching all 3 of Leah’s kids(including her 1 year old) as well as Bree’s 9month old. She’s doing great! Everyone was happy=)

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school.   1. I love that sore feeling! My husband and I started doing P90X last Monday so I have been sore for 10 days straight! We did Plyometrics last night so my run this morning was really hard but I know its making stronger which I love!

    p.s. Oatmeal squares is one of my fave cereals too! 🙂

  2. I am rocking the farmers tan too! Except mine is a razor back tan line because it has already gotten hot here in Texas so that’s what I am wearing when I go outside. I always love being sore because I know I am challenging myself.

  4. I wore a tank on my run today to get rid of this famers tan as well! haha. Loving the NTC workout!

  5. Oh the joys of the MANY different tan lines we get in the summer haha. I always have weird ones going on because of different running tops, swim suits and regular shirts.
    I did an elliptical workout and then some leg weight machines last night and I’m feeling it today. Love it!

  6. I have a pretty sweet farmer’s tan in my junior year XC photo from high school- once I got the pictures back I made the switch to tank tops. Now I alternate tank tops with short sleeved shirts, but I never go too many days in a row without a tank top! 🙂

    My workout on monday left me pretty sore and I’m actually not sure if the soreness I feel today is from yesterday or still from monday’s workout, probably both. Oh dear, there are so many funny tan lines that come with running, if it’s not a farmer’s tan it’ll be a funky racerback tan.

    love the farmers tan. haha- i totally get one in the summer, but more of a running shorts and tank tan.

  9. I did an awesome rowing + abs workout lsat week and it left me so sore! I’ve not worked out at all this week because the school’s gym is closed and my parents are here, so I’m taking the week off. Back at it next week when I’m back in Chicago, and then I’m hoping to be running the week after while I’m in Europe!!
