Workout

Wednesday- 4 miles outside

Sheesh, I think Spring is officially over in UT. It’s hot hot hot! I was reminded today, that I need to start running with water because it’s stupid not to.

After my run, I met up with some friends at the Museum of Natural Curiosity. It sounds weird, but it is so much fun! Seriously, we were there for 2.5 hours, and still didn’t get to everything. Some of the highlights, this water station that they can play in and not get too wet, the rainforest jungle gym, and the tornado tunnel. Everyone had a great time, and we’ll def be going back.

of course his glasses have been going everywhere with us

We also found a nice shaded area for lunch. Have I mentioned how much I just love being outside?

For those interested *Day 2 update on potty training:

J went to the bathroom at the museum but then had an accident right as we were leaving. He had one other accident later in the day, but has told me he’s had to go potty every other time. He won’t wear a diaper to sleep in like I originally planned, so we’ll see how that goes=)

Josh and I had a date at the temple after dinner. I’m so grateful to be able to go somewhere that I can clear my mind and meditate free from distractions. It was a great way to end the night.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

That sounds like such a fun museum, wish I had stuff like that near me! My favorite lunch item is and always will be sandwiches but if we are talking about sides then I’ve been loving watermelon now that it’s in season.

  2. I properly hydrate by drinking water!! haha I would think that’s the best way to hydrate…I carry a handheld and any run for me over 12 miles I rehydrate with an electrolyte drink such as nuun or gatorade!

Favorite lunch lately…salad! Or chicken with veggies and quinoa!

  3. I’m making turkey/cheese quesadillas at work lately! I just microwave them so its melty and satisfying. The museum and meditation at temple sounds wonderful!

That museum looks awesome! I love a good museum!
    My go-to lunch lately is a a hummus/veggie/cheese sandwich.

  5. Pesto is my WEAKNESS! Absolutely adore it. I’m all over the place with my lunches, some days it’s leftovers, and some days it’s out to eat, but my thing lately is oranges and apples, cant get enough of cool fruits during the summer!
