New additions to my running playlist, what I’m loving


Wednesday- 3 miles on treadmill + weights

I finally ran! After 4 days off, it was hard to get going, but as most of you know, once you start you don’t wanna stop. I actually didn’t want to stop, but I had gotten off to do weights after 3 miles and then I was going to run 3 more but J unplugged my treadmill. I took it as a sign that he wanted me to be done haha

I hope everyone had a great National Running Day yesterday and got in some miles. What better way to celebrate than to receive new running shoes in the mail!? Yes, I’m addicted.

We spent all morning/afternoon in the yard. Took 500 potty breaks but I’m just grateful he’s telling me he has to go potty before it’s too late.  Watered our flowers and spent the day outside.

After J’s nap he’s always cuddly and wants to be held, I love that my toddler still loves being with his mama.

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I’m OBSESSED with Classic! I’m also obsessed with anything Iggy is doing right now. She makes me feel sassy! I’ll have to check out the Lorde song, she can really do no wrong. Glad you go tto get in some miles for National Running Day!

  2. I’m making a new playlist soon! My computer has been acting up lately, so I’ve just got to clean it up a bit before I go make new purchases. The song in my head lately have been “sleeping with a friend” which is actually kind of annoying. But then I start bopping along and singing along, and then I remember I don’t really like it! its a struggle.

    Pretty flowers! I am jealous of everyone that got to run for national running day yesterday…BUT – I did have PT yesterday and got to run in place for the first time in almost 3 months….getting closer to the actual run!!

  5. I LOVE Classic right now! So good! I usually stick to a 6-7 miler before a 1/2 the weekend before and then do nothing over 5 the week of the 1/2.
