Bead Board and water park fun!

monday- 5 miles on treadmill (Drop 13 Countdown: 4 days!)

Yesterday started bright and early(for me) at 6am. I desperately needed to do some grocery shopping which I usually hate. Yesterday I realized I don’t hate it at 8am. No one is there and I can take all the time I need looking for new items and no one is rushing me on my way.  It was actually kind of peaceful.

After my run, I decided to do some abs. It hurts when you’ve neglected them for so long…oops.

After grocery shopping I got to meet at the water park with my MIL and SIL. We love 7 peaks! We get there early and get a great spot and then stay for a few hours. These boys were busy the whole time with the slides and wrestling. Cousins are the best!

Then me and MIL decided to take on a little project. We had never done bead board before, but that didn’t stop us. After 2 trips to Home Depot(the first time the guy cut all of the bead board wrong!) we finally made some progress.

I should’ve realized something was up when the pieces were sooo big.

Lee Ann still needed to put up the chair rail, putty the nails, and do a final coat of paint but it looked pretty good! I may need to some in my house. . .

But first I need to finish my other projects.

how is Tuesday treating you?

when you grocery shop do you start at the back of the store and make your way to the front or vice versa?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I love grocery shopping when the store isn’t crowded, it totally changes the experience. I’ve found that tuesday and wednesday mornings are the least crowded grocery store times. Have a nice day 🙂

  2. I love to go grocery shopping early Saturday or Sunday mornings before anyone is awake! I can’t stand going and having to fight the crowd. If I go when the store is empty I really enjoy it and use it as “me time.” Plus I’ve got a strategy where I usually go the whole perimeter of the store, haha.

  3. I love to grocery shop in the evening on Sunday! So much more peaceful and calming 🙂 I always start in produce and work my way from there.

  4. One of the best parts of being a teacher in summer is being able to go grocery shopping when the store isn’t packed. 🙂 Your DIY skills never cease to amaze me.

You are so good with the home projects…might need some advice when we buy a house some day! haha

  6. I grocery shop right to left, not so much front to back. It confuses me when super targets have their grocery aisles on the left side of the store!
