A giant cookie and father’s day

Workout

monday-rest

My legs are still soooo sore from the downhill half. Heather and I trained for a couple of months going downhill and thought we had trained adequately for it. We are both feeling it! Stairs, they are my enemy, but I’m hoping today I can get a nice slow run in so I can stretch my legs out.

After my race on Saturday, I ended up painting a sofa table and end table for my family room. My MIL was cleaning some things out of her house and gave them to me! I think they turned out pretty cute, but the color doesn’t show up as well in a picture. They’re actually a blue/grey color even though they look white.

This is the only ‘before’ I got:/

Saturday night we went out to Pei Wei and I had some Thai Chicken(I wasn’t a big fan). Then Sunday I told Josh to save lots of calories for Father’s day. I woke my dad and Josh up with the smell of cinnamon rolls. They are my very favorite sweet treat that’s acceptable for breakfast. ha

My mom and I matched on Sunday in our bright sweaters, and J had to be in the pic because he’s just cool like that.

After church, we headed to my MIL’s house to celebrate Father’s day with Josh’s dad(we had already celebrated with my dad and so he went to my sister’s house). She made salmon(soooo good), and I made dessert. A giant sugar cookie topped with frosting and fruit=)

Yesterday I organized my linen closet and did all my usual Monday cleaning and errands. If you’re friends with me on FB you saw this video I posted of a lady showing you how to fold a fitted sheet. I had to try it out, I’m not perfect but my closet looks 100% better than before.

We also went shopping at the outlet mall, but unfortunately nothing caught my eye or J’s(he is very picky).

Josh and I helped his grandparents move all night and my mom watched J. It reminded me how I never ever want to move again. I’ll help move others as long as it’s not me moving.

when was the last time you moved?

what was the last thing you bought?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Fun! Also that table looks great. I love the color you chose.
