Rainy day, and running love

Tuesday- 3 slloooww miles on the treadmill

It felt really good to run again yesterday. My quads were still a bit sore when I would go downstairs, but it felt so good to go on a slow run and then stretch really good after. Over all, I think the downhill training was good for me, but I still was very sore after the race. If anything, it helped with my confidence going into the race because I knew I could do it.

After my run, I went over to Josh’s grandparents and helped them move with my MIL and Josh’s aunt. I may have gotten a few more items they didn’t want, and I’m excited to show you some of my ideas. Friday’s post is one of my very favorite pieces I’ve done so far, so stay tuned=)

I came home to my sisters and nephews over! I love when they come to visit. It’s a long drive, so I always feel super special when they are able to come. We ate a lot ha and of course chatted and did our nails. We got Kneaders for dinner and I captured this awesome pic haha

It was so rainy yesterday too. It felt good to just chill inside all day, but I hope it doesn’t last long. The pool looked rather lonely…

On a random note, do you ever just get so excited to run? I felt like I was a little burnt out before my race, but now that I can run whatever I want when I want to, I get soo excited for my next run. I hope you’re all able to get a great workout in today, I sure hope I get to.

What’s one hobby you have besides running?

If you could do anything you wanted on a rainy day, what would you do?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. ANYTHING?? Oh man, I’d just curl up in my PJ’s on the couch with a bunch of movies and snacks. I’m a lazy bum at heart!

  2. To me rainy days mean movies/tv marathons and baking! Nothing like just spending the whole day at home on the couch while the smell of muffins or banana bread fills the house! 🙂
