California Trip Part 2

Monday- 3 miles on my treadmill at home + arms(triceps)

Isn’t it always nice coming home after vacation? No matter how much fun you had, it’s always nice to come home to clean sheets and the comfort of your own bed. Since a tried to clean and scrub the house before we left, yesterday I just had to restock the food and do laundry. It was nice to just have a chill day and catch up on life and of course catch up with my mom. Oh, and the most important thing, blowing bubbles with J(;

Cali Part 2

Saturday we slept in, I worked out, and then we headed to Newport Beach. Ahh, this beach was wonderful. We got to most places early so we didn’t have to fight for parking or traffic. It was so fun playing in the waves(J had forgotten about his previous incident) and snacking on fruit and treats.

We headed to an early lunch/dinner at PF Changs so we could make our reservation on the Dana Pride. It’s a boat that took us whale/dolphin watching. We didn’t see any whales but we were lucky enough to see a bunch of dolphins. We all loved seeing them, they would get super close the boat too. Josh and I got a little sea sick, but it was really fun.

After the dolphins, we were all ready for a sweet treat. We headed to get ice cream and of course we found boba!! J was pretty tired by this point, so we headed back to the hotel to go to bed.

Sunday we headed to church, then drove to see the LA temple and visitor’s center(a center you can learn more about the Mormon church).

We had such a great trip. Much better than our San Fransisco trip last year ha None of us got sick, J did great wearing underwear(no accidents!) and overall it was so fun to be together. Josh works really hard every day outside the home, so it was so fun to have him all to ourselves for 4 days!

Peace out Cali!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
