Boba Fail and miniature things

monday- 3 miles in the afternoon

Yesterday I decided to get some yard work done in the morning before I got super hot. Jokes on me, it was rainy all day(which I loved) but it made for a really nice chill morning. That lead to a very hot inside treadmill run.

At least I always have my trusty sidekick to tell me to run faster. He loves getting way too close to the TM and freaking me out.

I’m getting ready for our Singapore trip so yesterday was spent buying lots of travel sized things. I never knew I could get so excited over face wash. I love this kind and I was a little too excited about it #firsttimetravelernerdalert

For dinner yesterday I thought it was fitting to have soup on such a cloudy rainy day. Taco soup is the very easiest thing in the world! I shared the recipe here.

I mentioned my cousin Maddie is here staying with us yesterday, and last night was her last night. So of course, we had to introduce them to Boba. Unfortunately, I don’t think she or her husband were sold:(

After Boba we headed to the library to get some good reads for our long flights and Maddie headed to my sisters to watch a movie(I’m saving all the movies for the plane ride too, 11 hour flight then a 7 hour flight!)

any good reads I should take with me?

travel tips?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Hm, as far as travel tips go….compression socks, maybe a change of clothes, or at least lots of layers, two sets of headphones (earbuds and over the ear), new apps, lotion, new snacks (portioned out in plastic baggies if you can).

I’ve never tried boba, but most drinks take me a try or two before I like them.

Wow Singapore?? That’s amazing! I have never been on such a long trip so I don’t really have any advice, but I hope you have a wonderful time! Hehe I love travel sized things too. 🙂

  3. I love that we are on the same wavelength with boba!! I just posted about that today lol

That travel sized face wash is awesome! I like the little exfoliating beads.

Those are some long flights girl! Good books always make the time fly 🙂
I’ve only tried boba once, but totally wasn’t a fan either.

  5. Buy a neck pillow!! I was grateful on sooo many occasions that I had one on my flights to and from Europe. Also make sure you have a pen with you for immigration forms. Target had these really cute, flat wallets for $5 that I bought so I wouldn’t take my big, heavy wallet and I’m so in love with it, I still haven’t switched back yet. haha
I still need to try Boba. When you get back, we will do that!
