Yoga round 3 attempt

Thursday-3 miles on TM +yoga in the evening

Bree caught me in my super cute head band yesterday morning after my run. I really hate hair in my face ha and the walmart head bands are working for me(; where do you get cute head bands??

Yesterday was the last day I taught preschool and now I have 3 weeks off. I’m actually really enjoying teaching and getting the time to myself on the off weeks. Yesterday we went on a walk to find colors(:

Right after preschool was over j and I had dentists appointments. I haven’t been in awhile, and j has never been(except a brief visit when he chipped his tooth) so I didn’t know what to expect. Luckily we both were in the no cavity club, yay!!! I was so proud of j for letting them clean his teeth, he wasn’t nervous at all, and talked their ears off haha he told them he was 8 years old and had 4 kids haha

Later on I went to a church activity with my mom and sister. They were teaching yoga, how to make bread, and healthy smoothies(ya a bit random but good nonetheless haha). The food was really good, I even tried a kale smoothie for the first time…not bad!
And guess what?? The yoga was actually really challenging! I liked it! I wish the teacher taught in the city I live in, but she doesn’t:( so I guess I’m on a hunt for a good teacher in my area. 3rd times a charm right?

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

    I love yoga, but I definitely have not been doing it enough. I will also eat kale anyway you want to give it to me. haha

  2. Um that is the cutest thing ever! I wish I could have gone to bake bread/smoothies/yoga! And I think you would make the best preschool teacher 🙂

    where at in utah do you live? My aunt Karen Cope teaches Yoga and Ryan Cope’s wife Michelle, and my aunt Wendy Cope! hahah lots of good options they are amazing:) I do yoga for my cross days in training and I’ve found it’s really defined my breathing and stretches me out after my long runs. It will totally help with strengthening core too.. i love it! Hey also I just looked at my training schedule for next month when we are planning to be in Utah…on the 18th I have a 14 miler scheduled, so I thought it would be fun to run a half there. There is a haunted half in slc that day..are you running it by any chance? That would be fun to see you:)

  4. Yay!!! Kale is pretty good, but I always have to follow a recipe, whenever I try to make something on my own, I don’t like it. Also, way to go with trying yoga!
