Friday- walk with Heather and the kiddos
Ya I was pretty lazy this weekend, but today is a new day and I’m taking advantage of it. I plan to run and take J on a walk while we still have nice weather. what’s your workout today?
This weekend is one I look forward to every 6 months. The LDS(Mormon) church has General Conference every 6 months where we get to here from our Prophet and Apostles and other leaders share council and give us inspirational guidance. It’s always so relaxing and gives me a chance to reflect on myself and my family.
Saturday early morning before Conference started, we met up with Josh’s family to get family pictures taken. I think they turned out super cute, and will share them with you when we get them back. Here’s a little sneak peak I took.
Whit is such a talented photographer, and then she had us all come back to her house for a delicious breakfast while we watched Conference together. She is the best!
Let’s back up to Friday. That morning J and I headed to a nearby free pumpkin patch with friends. It was such a beautiful morning.
I thought this photo was so funny. I took a zillion and I couldn’t get one of them all smiling or looking for that matter ha
Josh went to the BYU football game with his cousins, so my sister Leah and I had a girls night with the kids(her husband was at the game too). She went all out and got the boys Halloween cookies to decorate, decorations, and we let them stay up late to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. We had so much fun catching up, I’m so glad my sisters are also my best friends.
Now let’s jump back to Saturday night(confused yet?) Josh went to the Priesthood session of Conference(remember last week when just the girls had their meeting, well now it’s the boys turn) so us girls went out to dinner and dessert. Of course Zupas is where we ended up. Cilantro brisket sandwich, so good! Then we headed across the street to the Sweet Tooth Fairy=)
Sunday we had more Conference and then had Josh’s cousin and his family over for dinner. It was so fun watching the kids run around and play together. Growing up, all of my mothers siblings and their kids would go to my grandparents on Sunday. It was wild, but we all had so much fun running around.
What was a highlight from your weekend?
