This weekend has been such a blast(and continuing since Josh has today off!). For the first time in a long time we didn’t have anything planned on Saturday. We took advantage of it and headed up to Park City. UT is so incredibly gorgeous in the fall. If you ever get the random chance to visit UT go during the month of October and go to Park City. There’s really fun summer activities in PC like the Apline slide, zip line, coaster,  mtn. bike trials, and trampoline bungee jumping.

We chose to do the Alpine Slide since J couldn’t fit on anything else. You take a lift up the mountain and then drag your sled a few yards.

It was so pretty and we had fun looking at the colors and enjoying the sun on our faces, okay maybe some of us weren’t ha

J chose to go with Josh(I know rude) and we raced. You have control of how fast you go with a red lever in the middle. We both were cruisin, and I couldn’t stop laughing. We were neck and neck the whole way, but I tried to get a pic of them barreling down the hill(I really regret not being able to) and they beat me in the in the end.

Before the slides we ate at one of our favorites, Free Birds and got burritos.

After we did the slide we headed home and took the scenic route. Oh my word!!! It was so vibrant with colors it was truly breathtaking. I love UT mountains.

Backing up to Friday, J and I headed to the Boo Barn at Thanksgiving Point. It wasn’t quite like last year, but J still loves the horses! My sister Bree and friends Jordan and Alicia came along too. It was beautiful weather but a bit crowded and didn’t have all the Halloween stuff out. I guess we’ll just have to go again;)

Friday night we went out with Josh’s parents to Chili’s. I always think I’ll like, but I’m never happy with what I get at Chili’s. J on the other hand LOVED what he got. All he wanted was a corn on the cob and they had it haha He was so excited and he went to eat and dropped it on the floor. Luckily they brought us another one and he devoured it.

He was happy I swear, he’s just mid chewing ha

Sunday we went to church, ate cookies, watched a movie together and as always just enjoyed relaxing.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I love alpine slides!!! I’m doing couch to 5k right now to build up my running base. And as soon as I’m done I’ll do couch to 10k. I like the run/walk and my body appreciates the gentle movement.

  2. That slide looks like SUCH a fun time!! I need to add that to my life bucket list! 😉

Looks like a great time – I love all the changing leaves! Joe and I are planning a trip to Park City this winter – it’s on our ski pass now, so we are going to take advantage!
