saturday-3 miles + shoulder workout
Happy Thanksgiving week! I LOVE Thanksgiving. I love getting together with no pressure, just lots and lots of yummy food, family, and friends. This past weekend on Friday my friend Katie hosted a ‘Friendsgiving’ and I think it’s our new tradition. We each brought something, Katie made the main dish(a delicious minestrone soup) and the kids played while we all ate.
Katie even had a cute craft for the kids. J loved his pumpkin bracelet and turkey hand.
We got a group shot of all the kids minus Grace and Finn. Do you see the newborn in a toy carrier?? Seriously, a doll!
We tried to get one of all the adults, but let’s just say it didn’t quite workout. While we were setting up some of the kids got in an all out brawl haha.
That night Josh had the KSL award banquet to go to. His company won an award for best event planner. I’m so proud of him!
J and I painted, had cookies, and babysat Mason.
Saturday I got up and ran on the treadmill a few miles then really wanted to get the yard work done. I knew it was supposed to snow, and Josh and I got as much done as we possibly could.
That night we went to In N’ Out and then got J some snow boots. Just in time too!
Sunday we woke up to snow! I LOVE snow. I don’t know what it is, but it just feels magical when you have kids. J loves it and played in it for a good hour. He even helped shovel/sweep the driveway.
We made cocoa and crepes and just watched the snow fall before church. Oh and listened to Christmas music of course.
That night I had my family over for dinner. They’re remodeling their family room/kitchen and don’t have much of a kitchen right now. Here’s what it looks like right now. Brand new cherry floors that still need to be stained.
Just a couple more days till my half. Can’t wait for the long weekend!
what are your Thanksgiving plans?
