Tuesday Tangents

monday-rest

2 more days till the Thankful 13 half marathon! I’m getting nervous, it’s been awhile since I’ve raced(technically not racing since I’m not fast at all right now) so I decided to take yesterday off. I’ll run today, then take Wednesday off or do a short shake out run.

Tuesday Tangents

I LOVE having both of Jackson’s grandparents so close by. It’s so fun for me to see him buddy up with my dad=)

I FINALLY perfected my Sunday dinners! I learned how to make homemade rolls and gravy(just in time for Thanksgiving). I’ve come a long way. My mom was always a great cook, but I didn’t take the time to try any recipes till I was married. When we were first married we lived off grilled cheese and frozen dinners. Josh had to teach me how to make rice! I think I’ve found the key to baking/cooking, you have to love what you’re doing. If you don’t, then you don’t take the time and then it comes out gross. Make you’re food with love;)

Jackson making new friends. I love when we find a new buddy that he gets along with and they both can just play and play and us mom’s can just relax and chat.

Family night. Monday nights are so fun. We had my parents and Josh’s mom over for dinner last night. J got to pick out family night treat and was so excited to try them. Family is everything.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I don’t even remember the first meal I learned how to make – probably something pretty easy. You are going to do great in your race!!!
