Christmas Day and Day After 2014

Happy New Year’s Eve! I hope everyone has a wonderful night, be safe! I’m still back tracking, so onto Christmas day.

Christmas morning wasn’t too early this year, everyone woke up about 7:30 to the sound of Santa’s bells. J was stunned that Santa was still at the house, and couldn’t wait to get upstairs to see what he left. The boys(we slept at Josh’s parents house with his family and their kids) rushed up the stairs and I think they were a bit overwhelmed.

J was definitely spoiled and loved opening presents this year. He helped me open mine too, which was a big change from last year. Last year he’d open one and then just play with that and not pay attention to the others haha.

We woke up to a Christmas miracle, snow! It was gorgeous and so cozy. That is my in laws front yard, isn’t it beautiful?

After eating breakfast, we packed our car up and headed home. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with toys, in the snow, and eating way too much candy. It was perfect.

That night we headed to my sister Leah’s house for a prime rib dinner. It was so good! The kids spent the night playing in the snow while the adults ate more and chatted. I could not have asked for a better day spent with family=)

The next day, Josh’s parents came and got J and so Josh and I had all day to be together. We ran some errands and then saw Unbroken. It was really good! Josh thought the book was better, but we both liked the movie.

J had a blast playing with Grandma and Grandpa and cousin Cal.

That night was the big Scott family party. Josh’s cousin Eric brought a bounce house for the kids which they loved. It was a lot of fun.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
