Christmas Day and Day After 2014

Happy New Year’s Eve! I’m still back tracking today, but I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s!

Christmas morning was actually not too early. We all woke up about 7:30 to the sounds of Santa’s bells. J was so excited and couldn’t believe Santa was still at the house. The boys rushed to the family room and I think they were a little overwhelmed.

It didn’t take long for them to tear into their presents, J just wanted to open more and more presents. He definitely got spoiled.

We hung out in our PJ’s most of the morning, then packed our car up and headed home. The afternoon was spent playing with toys, eating way too much candy, and just being lazy. It was great!

That night we headed to my sister Leah’s house for a prime rib dinner. It was soooo delicious! The kids played out in the snow while the adults relaxed. I loved all the down time we had this year, we didn’t have to drive as much, and it was heaven. I really really enjoyed just being with family and being able to completely relax.

The next morning, Josh’s parents came and got J and played with him all day. Josh and I ran errands and went to the movie Unbroken. I thought it was really good, Josh liked it too, but said the book was much better. J had a lot of fun with his grandparents and cousin Cal.

That night, we had the annual Scott family party. Josh’s cousin Eric brought a bounce house and it was the highlight for the kids. J couldn’t get enough!

We have been so blessed this year. I feel so overwhelmed with joy and can’t wait for 2015!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
