Lizards give me the heeby jeebys

The last week we have had some fun highlights. Sorry I didn’t post much, laziness took a toll haha I love weeks where I just take a step back from social media.

Last week I had a few good workouts. I love focusing on weight training during the winter. I think it really helps when I start building mileage in the spring. I’m also starting Pure Barre again after a big break, I love how Pure Barre makes me feel.

The rest of the week we spent playing. J’s recent game obsession is Jenga and he’s actually pretty good at it.

We went to the Curiosity Museum with my MIL and SIL on Friday and the boys got to hold a lizard! It freaked me out, but J thought it was pretty cool…until it wanted to climb up his jacket.

We celebrated my nieces 10th Birthday. J hasn’t stopped talking about how much fun he had. She’s into legos so the cupcakes had candy lego pieces that we’re actually pretty good.

I’m loving catching up on everyone’s races. I’m getting that race itch and I think I need to find a spring race. . .

I don’t think I had a theme, but I think that was the year I got a Razor scooter and felt pretty awesome.

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I’m considering a spring 10 mile, but I need to wait a few more weeks. I don’t want to commit my weekend quite yet.

  2. Sounds like you’re rocking your workouts! Every time I do NTC I think of you 🙂 I try to keep a balance and keep the strength training in my routine while running…definitely helps make me feel stronger during those longer runs! Have a great week!
