Easter 2015

monday- 3 mile run on TM + legs

I was feeling bored yesterday, so I ran 1 mile(playing with the incline) then I would do the following:

12 squats

12 lunges(each side)

10 second lunge pulses(each side)

Yesterday was a great day to get back into routine. This last weekend was so much fun and included so many yummy treats that it was nice to get back into eating healthy, working out, and getting things in order.

Let’s recap Easter though before we completely move on from the weekend.

Sunday J woke up pretty early excited to see what the Easter bunny left him. I try and get him a new game we can play as a family, and then something church related. This year, he got a matching bingo game, a kite, and a children’s New Testament book. It has pictures and all the stories from the New Testament easy for him to understand.

He also loved the egg hunt. I only hid a few since we’d be doing a bigger one at my sisters later on. He kept saying, “I think there’s more!” even though I told him the Easter bunny only left 10 haha.

Before digging into the candy, we went on a family walk. We were blessed with beautiful Easter weather.

We watched conference, then headed over to Josh’s parents house. His mom made us a yummy brunch, and the boys took their annual bunny pic. They were REALLY into it as you can tell…

After, we headed to my sister Neeley’s house for ham dinner. Everything was so delicious.

The men hid all the eggs, then the kids went at it. Their were so many eggs, but that didn’t stop the kids from running. J was so into it he kept yelling at me, “No more photos!” I was obviously throwing his game off.

Easter is one of my very favorite holidays. I love reflecting on the Savior and what he did for all of us. I’m so grateful for my little family.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
