Maternity Clothes

Yes. My sister Leah who just had her 4th baby boy in April gave me a big bin to borrow. It was heaven sent to get some new clothes that were so comfy. Some of my shirts are still non maternity  but I just sized up.  I found a maternity swim top at Target for 25% off this last week it has been great for pool days. My normal bottoms still fit, but I’m not sure they will for much longer.

Sleep

I can’t complain, I sleep pretty good. I toss and turn, but that’s just part of pregnancy.

Best Moment

Feeling her hiccups for the first time. I remember J got them all the time. She got them in my 29th week, and now I feel them every other day, it’s the cutest thing! I also love when Josh or J feel a kick or two, J get’s so excited.

Movement

I love feeling her little kicks and jabs all day long. Every once in awhile she does big flips and turns that feel so weird, but it’s my favorite. I have a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions especially if I’ve had a busy day on my feet. I try and lay down for at least an hour to just rest my back and hydrate.

Food Cravings

Same as before. Anything with pico, especially in tacos, and lots of fruit. The last 2 weeks I’ve been snacking on nectarines, cherries, watermelon, and mangoes. Oh and bananas, I eat them with pb, in my cereal, or in a smoothie. I also drink lots of water. I feel so much better than I did with J because I’m staying hydrated, it makes all the difference.

Food Aversions

I don’t really have any aversions. The opposite actually, give me all the food! I still have heart burn with certain foods, so I limit those or just have Tums with me.

Fitness

I was just talking Monday about how my runs have not felt great. Specifically, it’s just hard to run with a lot more weight. Every once in a while though, like  yesterday I had the time and felt pretty good so I was able to run 4 miles. I’m so grateful to still feel good enough to get a few miles in. I walked 1 lap(.25) then ran 3 laps(.75) repeated 4 times. During week 29 I was able to run/walk a 10k. I think that’ll be my last time running anything over 5 miles but I’m glad I was able to accomplish that goal.

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own.
