How’s everyone’s week going? I feel like time is flying by! The past couple of days I’ve been chipping a way at the nursery, and it’s keeping me busy. The ‘tiki wall’ is turned out to be quite the task. I thought maybe 2 coats of white primer would do it, but nope I’m on the third coat and think it will need one more before I put the nursery wall color on. Good thing it was just one wall…

J is still loving his swim lessons. It’s only 1 week(5 half hour sessions) and he’s already learned so much. This lady works wonders!

Our days have consisted of lots of hanging out in our shaded back yard and too many popsicles(can you ever have too many??).

Okay, more randomness, but I love looking back at my pregnancy photos with J and comparing them to now. Since both my kids of relatively the same due date(3 days apart) it’s fun to see the differences.  I’m now 31 weeks, the picture on the left is me pregnant with J and the right is me now.

Can you see how puffy I was in the face with J? I was horrible at staying hydrated and had to get an IV of fluids one week because I was so dehydrated and started dilating. This time around I have a water bottle basically strapped to me at all times and I can totally tell a difference in how I feel and look. I’ve been looking into drinking lemon water in the morning. I’ve read a lot of the benefits and think I’m gonna give it a try.

Here are just a few I’ve found:

1. Reduces inflammation.

If you drink lemon water on a regular basis, it will decrease the acidity in your body, which is where disease states occur. It removes uric acid in your joints, which is one of the main causes of inflammation.

2. Aids digestion.

Lemon juice not only encourages healthy digestion by loosening toxins in your digestive tract, it helps to relieve symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, burping, and bloating.

3. Helps you lose weight.

Lemons contain pectin fiber, which assists in fighting hunger cravings.

4. Cleanses your system.

It helps flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function, stimulating your liver.

5. Keeps your skin blemish-free.

The antioxidants in lemon juice help to not only decrease blemishes, but wrinkles too! It can also be applied to scars and age spots to reduce their appearance, and because it’s detoxifying your blood, it will maintain your skin’s radiance.

    I am crazy about always having water with me. Crazy! I love my lemon water so much as well, I drink a huge glass the moment I wake up and I just feel so refreshed!!

  2. I’m trying really hard to stay hydrated. I feel better when I’m drinking enough water. I don’t add lemon, but I know some people that think warm water with lemon is the best way to start your day!

  3. Oh yeah, you can totally tell a difference! I mean, you didn’t look bad before but you look amazing right now. Note to self: drink lots of water when pregnant some day 😉
    I drink tons of water right now. It probably averages 3-5 of my water bottles per day (about 25 oz each). I love lemon water but I usually only drink it if I’m out to eat. I just have plain water if it’s on my own. But I don’t mind. I love water!! I can totally tell a difference in how I feel when I’m well hydrated.
