Happy Birthday Jackson Joshua!
This year has been a little different than past years, but in the best way possible. We welcomed baby sister, Lily Mae into our family. You have been in heaven holding her and showing her all your cool toys and forts. You’re favorite thing is to hold her and ‘tickle’ her. The morning of your Birthday you came into our room and declared, “It’s my Birthday, can I hold baby sister?” You’re the best big brother to her.
Mom decorated a bit for the morning of your birthday(your party isn’t till later this week).
At 4 you love a lot of the same things that you did at 3, Ninja Turtles, ice cream, chocolate, pickles carrots(that you peel yourself), snuggling and watching TV, playing in the sand box, and of course being with mom and dad.
Some things you don’t like:
Going to bed
getting out of the bath
watching ‘baby’ shows
Having anyone help you get dressed, do your hair, or brush your teeth. After all, you are a big boy;)
Eating salmon or anything spicy
Mom putting you to bed because dad is a lot more fun
You also have found some new loves:
Playing make believe and dressing up. Your favorite is wearing this blanket around like a super hero cape.
You love to cook and bake and help mom a lot in the kitchen. You can even crack an egg without getting shells in the food! Sometimes mom lets you make ‘potions’ of your own, they’re pretty gross.
You love things to be in order(wonder where he got that, ha) and often line your toys up. This particular day you lined all of your books up to make a road. You’re really good at finding things to do and keeping yourself entertained.
You love having family time. For your Birthday this year dad had work off since mom just had the baby. He said he would take you anywhere(zoo, park, Cowbunga Bay, or 7 Peaks) and you chose to go bowling, go to Scheels(sporting goods store) and to get Boba drinks. Your dad and I laughed because you are so easy to please. Dad did just that and you came home on cloud 9.
Us snuggling and eating snacks before leaving the hospital with Lily.
You’re always happy and willing to help. We love you so much Mr. J, you have such a special spirit and can’t wait to see what this year will bring you.
