Obviously there hasn’t been any workouts from me the last couple of days and there won’t be for awhile. I’m looking forward to taking the next 4 or so weeks off and just enjoying my new family of 4.
Since bringing Lily Mae home life has been pretty amazing. I can’t tell you what a difference your second baby is. I feel so calm and at peace and I’m just really able to soak up what a miracle a baby is. I remember with J I felt so overwhelmed and so worried that I would never sleep or do anything for me again. This time around I know this newborn stage ends and I just want to enjoy all of it. I remember being so anxious to get back to my life but I’ve realized this is my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Being a mom is one of the best gifts I’ve ever been given. If I get to do anything else other than raise these beautiful children than it’s just a bonus. When we were trying for so long to have Lily I yearned for those first new days I had with J and now that we’ve been blessed with a second child I don’t want to take any of these days for granted.
So here’s what we’ve been up to. I promise a birth story is coming, I just haven’t wanted to take the time to type it out yet ha
After leaving the hospital we’ve been having fun at home. Josh took a couple days off work and friends and family have brought us dinner. I’m overwhelmed with how much love and support we’ve been shown.
We made it to our first Doctors appointment with no tears and she’s happy and healthy.
J has adjusted really well so far. He understands I can’t get down and play, so he brings the ‘play’ to me while I nurse ha (ps thanks Neeley for the dinosaurs, they’re a hit!).
Lots and lots of snuggling.
We’re making all week a party for J=)
My last belly shot and Lily at 5 days old. We sat outside and watched the boys play some bocce ball.
And of course more snuggling. Life is good, hope everyone’s having a great Thursday!
