Wknd Highlights: Jackson’s 4th Birthday Party

Jackson’s Birthday is August 3rd, but since I had Lily on the 31st of July we postponed his family party and celebrated this past weekend. We invited our families, and kept it pretty chill.

That afternoon we went to church and J dressed himself(like always) and I took a few ‘4 year old pics.’ I love this pic because it captures his independence. Sometimes it’s hard to let him leave the house looking all mismatchy<—it’s a word;) but he’s so proud of himself and it he’s pretty darn cute.

Me and Lily made it to the first part of church then snuck out before too many germs got to her.

For J’s party later that night, I made a bunch of desserts and J requested a pinata(like he had last year) party hats, and blue cupcakes. He’s easy to please=)

Everyone got him exactly what he wanted and then some. He was definitely spoiled.

Then we went outside for the pinata(actually my sis took these pics because I was inside feeding Lily ha).

Lily and her cousin Z got to finally meet. They’re about 4 months apart. This was the day before I went into labor. Z fell asleep just snuggling my belly ha.

I think everyone had a great time and had some serious sugar comas. Until next year. . .

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
