The past couple of days I have had a lot more energy. No it’s not because Lily is sleeping through the night(not even close and I’m totally okay with that. Newborn snuggles are way better than sleep;)) but I think I’m just recovering. The body really is an amazing thing. I really have felt pretty good other than being pretty beat by the end of the day.
I don’t feel pressure or anxious to get back to running, but I am excited to. I just love the feeling a good workout gives you and I’m excited to get back to that. Oh and I’ve been saving my workout playlist for my first workout. I won’t let myself listen to the songs until my first workout, it’s seriously one of my biggest motivators to get out and run ha.
So since I haven’t been working out, I’ve just been soaking up these days with my kids(yes plural, that sounds so weird!) and enjoying the last month of summer.
For family night we got outside and played Bocce ball. Josh barely won, and I may still be a bit bitter about it.
Lots of snuggling. J has been such a sweet heart. The other day L was screaming in the car and he just kept saying, ” It’s okay sweetie we’re almost home.” Melts my heart.
Ahem, speaking of the day she was screaming in the car…we were coming back from Cherry Hill and I thought she had eaten enough. Wrong! So I pulled off the freeway, fed her, changed her diaper, and then got back on the road. J was very patient, and I learned my lesson.
We ventured out to Cherry Hill. I didn’t swim, but watched all the kids have fun and enjoyed being outside. Last week I was getting cabin fever and it feels so good to get out this week. I think Lily enjoyed it too.
