Newborn Pictures of L and J

Over this past weekend I had my good friend Liz(Lizettepopephotography) take some pictures of J and L. L was surprisingly wide awake for most of them. Finally, she fell asleep and we got a few sleepy/smiley shots and I can’t wait to share them with you.

I’m planning to print out a bunch of these cute pics and put them around my house. Some days I feel overwhelmed, but when I see these 2 cuties my spirit is lifted. Here are just a few from our fun photo session!

The quilt she is laying on in these pics was made by my mom’s best friend Leslie. She’s like an aunt to me and it meant so much that she gave me this beautiful quilt for Lily.

We hadn’t decided on a name until Lily was born. Lily has always been a name I loved, but Josh was completely sold. We new the middle name would be Mae after my Grandma Laura Mae. Minutes after she was born, Josh turned to me and said, “It’s Lily isn’t it?” I was so glad he liked the name, especially because my mother in law made this darling quilt with her name embroidered on it haha

J insisted on wearing his boots and I didn’t fight him. I love that these pictures capture his personality. And those boots have been everywhere with him the last couple of years so it seemed fitting they would be in the shots=)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
