More of WA: The baptisms and cousin party

One of the main reasons we were in WA was to see my niece and nephew be baptized. I wasn’t able to steal a pic with my nephew, but my nieces were happy to pose with me. Layla, the tallest one, was one of the 2 baptized.

We had a delicious lunch after at my brother’s house. They went all out and grilled some amazing salmon.

The second reason we wanted to go to WA was to see my Grandpa and all my family I hadn’t seen in years. I think the last time we visited was about 3 years ago for my brother and sister’s wedding, remember the double weddings?

Growing up every Sunday after church we would all meet at my Grandma and Grandpas house for my aunt’s cookies, grandma’s homemade bread, and my uncle would bring watermelon. It was absolute chaos but we all loved it. My cousins were my best friends, and those memories are some of my VERY favorite. The Sunday we were there most of the cousins that still live in WA ended up coming up. It was SO MUCH FUN. It was just like the good ol’ days. I tried to get a good photo, but this was all I could get, there was family everywhere!

My grandparents had 6 kids, 39 grandchildren, and Lily was number 103 for great grandchildren, but the total is 104 and 5 more on the way!

It was such a special trip that I’m so grateful my family could go on.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
