If you haven’t noticed I love a good routine. Our days usually start the same, but then each day varies with different errands or activities.
Josh wakes up for work at 7am and J usually comes in our room shortly after. Lily and I try and sleep an extra half hour while J chats with Josh but I give in and feed her at 7:30. Then we all go down for breakfast at 8. I give Lily a bath, help J get ready, and change into my workout clothes. **Lay your clothes out the night before so you can easily put them on/know where they are.**
By 8:30 the kids are ready for the day and fed, and Lily is already tired and ready for a nap. I put her down in the pack n play that’s in the gym and turn a show on for J in the family room.
The treadmill is my BEST FRIEND,haha for reals though
Before starting my workout I pull a bottle of breast milk out of the freezer to thaw while I workout.
I run/lift weights and stretch for about an hour and then Lily wakes up. I feed her the bottle(sometimes J ‘helps’), check on J, then she plays on a blanket with J on the floor while I shower and get ready for the day.
Sometimes Lily doesn’t sleep, or wakes up early. On those days I just let her play on the floor next to me. She doesn’t last long there, but I can get maybe 20 minutes.
I pump 2 bottles after I shower, then we pack the diaper bag and head out for errands or fun for the day at about 10:30am.
Some days a workout in the morning just doesn’t happen for one reason or another. On those days I’ll run after we put the kids down at 8pm or I just try again the next morning 🙂
If you make it a priority it will happen. J looks forward to my workouts because he gets to watch TV or he joins me and does his own ‘workout’. I think Lily likes the sound of the treadmill because she heard it so much in the womb haha
