Moab 2015

Moab was out first road trip as a family of 4. Unfortunately, Lily hates her car seat. I sat in the back trying to comfort her, but she just wanted out. It was a 4hr drive that wasn’t so pleasant. Luckily the way back we left in the morning after church and she slept most of the way.

We met Josh’s family in Moab for a weekend of hiking, swimming, and late nights talking and eating WAY too much.

First let’s talk about where we stayed. We all looked at several homes that we could rent for the weekend and voted on a 3 bedroom that slept 10. The pictures looked great and we love being able to prepare our own food. What we didn’t realize was it was in a warehouse! Someone had remodeled their warehouse and was renting it (haha). The inside was actually really nice and worked out great, but it was hilarious to drive up to this every night!

Back to the hiking, the boys did great and the babies did even better. The weather was perfect, low 70’s and the views were gorgeous. It was great to be outside.

Josh took the boys swimming while whit and I watched with the babes.

I think we might have to make this a new tradition, Moab is gorgeous.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
