Thanksgiving 2015

Over thanksgiving break my niece Bayley stayed with us and it was a lot of fun. I never get one on one time with her, soo definitely soaked it up! She was awesome with the kids, J was super attached to her and snuggled with her most days:)

Fun fact: I’m actually closer in age to her than I am her mom(my sister) haha.

I started the day with just a short workout, 2 miles and a leg workout. I was pretty satisfied with my decision to NOT run the half marathon, it was 20* out!

This year was a lot different because we only spent the holiday with my side of the family. Josh’s family was all out of town except his mom who had thanksgiving with her parents. It was weird and I missed seeing that side of the family.

The food, mmmm.

I have so much to be thankful for and wrote them down in my personal journal, but I’ll share a few.

Of course, my family. It was Thanksgiving day last year that I had a tiny feeling I might be pregnant with Lily because I got sick after the race:)

My health

Opportunities to serve

My faith

The smell of Christmas trees

Laughter

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

ps J wore that outfit so he would look like Daniel Tiger, such a funny kid!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you and your family! Can I ask a random question? (and feel free to email me if that’s easier) I’m curious if with your faith you celebrate anything different or extra during Christmas? Or do you follow the advent calendar? Completely random, just thought of it as I saw your thankful for faith 🙂
