This year Lily requested a mermaid party. She wanted sprinkles and lots of color, but kept saying she wanted it to be a mermaid party. So I did my best to create a magical birthday for her.
She woke up to decorations, a mermaid cake(my first ever layered cake, I’ve managed to convince my kids for years to go with different desserts or I bought cakes), and presents. She requested mermaid pancakes for breakfast, so blue pancakes with sprinkles did the trick.
She felt so loved and spoiled all day from family and friends who called, sent videos or stopped by.
That night we had her favorite dinner; soup and then ate cake for dessert. Josh had the cute idea to take her to build a bear and let her pick out a bear. So after dinner and dessert we headed there.
Later on in the week we planned to celebrated Lily and Jackson(his birthday is 3 days after Lily’s) with cousins up at the water park, Cherry Hill. Unfortunately, it started to rain! Luckily my sisters and mom are so sweet and with 5 minutes notice we changed the party to my sister Leah’s house(she lives by Cherry Hill). I brought pizza, fruit, and donuts. Leah, her kids, and my sister Bree had thrown together decorations, a yummy salad, and delicious homemade cookies. They had a dance party and then played in the rain making shelters in Leah’s backyard. The kids had a blast and felt SOO loved.
Another successful birthday for our tiny princess, Lily.
