Finding Joy in Simplicity

This past year I’ve mentioned a few times that I’ve been decluttering my house. It didn’t just start and end there, but I’ve been trying really hard to de-clutter my life. The motto I’ve had for myself is “finding the joy in simplicity.” I want my life to have meaning, and try really hard to do something intentional everyday that will help my future self and my children.

I find joy in the days that are simple and spent together as a family. I don’t want a family life where we are always on the go and running from one place to the next. I want memories to be made within our home, and of course have experiences and adventures together outside the home. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I want to preserve my young family right now. I know there will come a time where our lives will just be busy and we will have to go go, so for now I’m soaking up the slow pace we can choose to have.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
