I took a HUGE break from social media and blogging the last year. I took a step back because it started to become something I was obsessing over and it was just a negative thing in my life. The only way I can describe it is it was a constant noise and as soon as I stopped checking FB it instagram daily(or multiple times daily) I felt so much peace. It was surprising the things I found out when I deleted FB and Instagram. One of the biggest things was that I needed to slow down and not only ENJOY my simple life, but find the simple joy in it.
If my day isn’t “Instagram worthy” that’s okay. It’s okay I’m not out and about doing ALL THE THINGS. What I’m doing in the home is important and enough.
I love blogging, it’s how I journal about my family so I’m glad to be back to it❤️
“This is the season she will make beautiful things, not perfect things but honest things that speak to who she is and who she is called to be.” Morgan Harper Nichols
That is a great quote. I love that it called beautiful things honest things, not perfect things. Its hard to remember that. Sometimes we think beauty is perfection, but that is not the case.
